CONGRATULATIONS REGIONAL OMBUDSMAN DIRECTOR JULIE

We here at Western Montana Area VI Agency on Aging are happy to announce Julie White has a new position. Join us in Congratulations Julie.

Here is her story…….

I was born and raised in Hot Springs Mt. My husband and I attended elementary school together and met up again in later life and have been married now for 36 years. Over these years we have acquired 4 children and 190 head of Black Angus Cows (White Angus Ranch). My career in Long Term Care started in 2004 as an Activity Director at Hot Springs Health and Rehab. The memories I have making residents smile for 7 years as an AD will stay with me always.

I then had the opportunity to become a Local Long Term Care Ombudsman for Sanders, Lincoln, and Mineral County. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to protect the health, safety and rights of residents in Nursing Homes and Assisted Living facilities. I have been a LLTCO for almost ten years and with some gentle persuading I decided to take the leap and become a Regional. I have a great team to pull information from as I learn my new position. I just hope all involved have the patients for me (wink). My responsibilities include management and development of the Local Long Term Care Ombudsman Program for 7 counties and making sure the Annual Plan is prepared and submitted to the SLTCO and the provider agencies, setting long -term goal and objectives for the program. Here is to a new adventure with a great team.
