Open Enrollment October 15 thru December 7 2022 – Western Montana Area VI Agency on Aging

Fall is coming and that means Medicare Open Enrollment is on its way. Here are a few things to help you better understand this period:

	Open Enrollment runs from October 15 – December 7 each year. It’s when you can join, switch or drop a plan. (This time period may be different from when you first enrolled in Medicare.)

	Your new coverage will begin on January 1 (as long as the plan receives your request by December 7).

	You can join a new Medicare Advantage Plan or stand-alone Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (Part D).

	You can also switch between Original Medicare with or without a Part D plan and Medicare Advantage.
