What is the true meaning of Veterans Day?
November 11 set aside in commemoration of the end of hostilities in 1918 and 1945 and observed as a legal holiday in the U.S. to honor the veterans of the armed forces. Veterans Day is always observed on November 11th with speeches, parades, and church services across the United States and in many places the American flag is hung at half mast. A period of silence lasting two minutes may be held at 11am. When the holiday first began, it had a different name, which was Armistice Day. Thank You to all who served or have served.
