CDC Update on Covid-19

COVID-19 cases are rapidly increasing in some parts of the country, especially in areas with low vaccination. This week, the United States’ level of community transmission increased from substantial to high. CDC’s COVID Data Tracker provides information about the levels of community transmission across the United States. This can help you understand how COVID-19 is affecting your community and the country. See the data: https://bit.ly/CDTlevels.

The Delta variant of the virus that causes COVID-19 is surging in the United States. New data show Delta is different than past versions of the virus; it is much more contagious. While rare, some vaccinated people can get Delta in a breakthrough infection and may be contagious. Unvaccinated people: get vaccinated and wear a mask until you do.
Everyone in areas of substantial or high transmission should wear a mask, even if they are vaccinated.
