THE SEASON THAT KEEPS GIVING

 

We are so blessed this holiday season. Our agency received a generous and unexpected donation. With this donation we were able to put together a holiday meal for 15 of our most vulnerable elderly clients. This meal consisted of a turkey or a ham some received a turkey and a ham, potatoes, stuffing, gravy, fresh fruit and vegetables, milk, eggs, butter, dinner rolls, a chocolate cream pie and other assorted pies, pasta. This will make a wonderful meal for our clients, and even more meals with the leftovers. We delivered to our homebound clients, and the clients who were able to come into our office and pick theirs up.

We would like to thank Lake ‘s Farm for the potatoes, Helping Hands, anonymous monetary donations and Second Nature for the insulated bags. Most of all the wonderful helpers at Area VI Agency on Aging for organizing and coordinating this event.

Sometimes it is easy to forget as we go into our warm homes and sit at our bountiful Holiday dinner with all our family, that many of elderly population do not have enough to eat, not just during the holiday but all through the year.
