- Hours: Part Time up to 29 hours/week, opportunity for **full-time as workload increases.
- Starting Salary: $16.00

- Location: Polson/Ronan and Various Lake County residences, MT
- Benefits: 24+ hours: Pro-Rated Holiday/Sick/Vacation Pay
30+ hours per week **Full Benefits Package will be available
This position offers Holiday/Vacation/Sick pay on a prorated basis.
**Upon permanent full-time position, full medical benefits, voluntary Dental and Vision, FSA/HSA medical spending account. At six months, Retirement benefits will be offered.

The Area VI Agency on Aging plans, provides and contracts for services to older Americans, persons with disabilities and veterans within the planning and service area including the Counties of Lake, Lincoln, Mineral, Sanders, and the Flathead Reservation. Some aspects of this position may require travel, per diem and mileage will be paid per policy.
Western Montana Area VI Aging Service is seeking a skilled and dedicated Homemaker to Lead a team ’s responsible for providing household support and assistance to individuals or families, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized living environment for senior citizens residing in Lake County.
Responsibilities:
- Supports Agency’s mission and fully participates in Agency’s goals and objectives.
- Support Team Members in support of program/daily activities.
- Train part-time homemakers, ensuring adherence to standards and protocols
- Coordinate schedules and assignments for part-time homemakers
- Assist with recruitment, hiring and onboarding of homemakers
- Onboard new clients coordinate homemakers and scheduling
- Keep accurate records of client visits/tasks performed for client payment
- Monitoring of Electronic Visit Verification (EVV). Check-in/Check-Out App
- Maintain records and documentation relating to homemaking services
- Serve as liaison between homemakers and management
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as dusting, vacuuming, moping, dishes and cleaning, laundry, ironing etc.
- Meal preparation and cooking
- Grocery shopping and running errands
- Escort client to appointments, shopping or other events as necessary
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in the client’s condition or needs
- Adhering to health and safety standards
- Maintaining confidentiality of client information
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a homemaker or similar role working with elderly/disabled.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Pass Criminal History Background check
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach comfortably
- Ability to work in a variety of home environments
